The Honda NSX is possibly the most iconic and revolutionary Japanese Supercar ever produced with proven pedigree and an investment that loves to be driven. The NSX was designed by a team led by Chief Designer Masahito Nakano and Executive Chief Engineer Shigeru Uehara. It benefited from advanced aerodynamics and styling inspired by a F-16 fighter jet cockpit and input from the late Formula One World Champion, Ayrton Senna, during the final development stages.
The NSX became the world's first mass-produced car to feature an all-aluminium monocoque providing an ultra-rigid, ultra-light chassis, front and rear double wishbone suspension, with forged control arms connected to forged alloy wheels (original wheels included). The NSX is powered by an all-aluminium mid-mounted 3.0 Litre 252BHP/188KW DOHC VTEC 24 Valve V6 engine and driven through a 5-speed manual transmission with rear wheel drive platform offering exceptional and reliable performance.
The car's chassis rigidity and cornering/handling capabilities were the results of Ayrton Senna's consultation with NSX's chief engineers while testing the NSX prototype car at Honda's Suzuka Circuit during its final development.
This Sebring Silver Metallic example has been in New Zealand for the past 27 years and has been well cared for by its current fastidious owner including documented service history. Enhanced with modern refinements including NZ audio offering Bluetooth, rear camera with Navigation functionality, alarm and immobiliser security function and Lenso alloy wheels.
